Each member's funds are federally insured to at least $250,000 by the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund (NCUSIF), which is offered through the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA). Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs) are insured to at least $250,000.
Your credit union is a member-owned, not-for profit financial institution. We are in business to help you, our member, and not ourselves. As owners of the credit union, we have a responsibility to take care of each other. That is one reason we do not participate in sub-prime lending. Such lending practices do not increase our members' prosperity, but limits their potential for future growth.
